Hello from the Camp Director

My name is Gary Leidheiser and I am the Director of the Erie County 4H Camp, here on beautiful Kelleys Island, Ohio. We have a unique facility here, as we are on an Island, with one of the nicest beach fronts on Lake Erie. To get here, there is a short 20 minute ferry boat ride from Marblehead, Ohio that takes you to the southeastern side of the Island. Then we arrange transportation for your group to get to the Camp. In addition to beachfront and swimming activities, we can incorporate snorkeling, hiking, archery, fishing, team building/challenges and nature activities into your camping programs. I will work with your group to provide an overall program that fits your group’s needs, from anywhere from a weekend to a weeks-long stay.
